Research Connect

The College is establishing a Research Network to connect paramedicine researchers and promote collaboration.

Finding the right research partner or HDR supervisor can be challenging. Identifying an expert in your field, someone skilled in the necessary methodology, or a supervisor based in your area can be a difficult and daunting task.

To support paramedicine researchers, the College is developing an international registry: a comprehensive, user-friendly directory designed to strengthen research connections and build the profession’s research capacity.

What is a primary supervisor?

A primary supervisor provides academic leadership and oversight to a research candidate. They guide the research process, support thesis development, and ensure the project meets ethical standards and institutional requirements.

What is a Co-Supervisor?

A co-supervisor offers additional expertise and support, often in a specific area of the research. They work alongside the Primary Supervisor to provide broader mentorship and contribute to the academic and professional development of the candidate.

How do I find the right supervisor for me?

Finding the right supervisor can feel overwhelming, but it starts with knowing your research interests and the kind of support you need. Explore potential supervisors by reviewing their publications, profiles on Research Connect, online profiles and research group websites.
