Supervision approach: My approach to HDR student supervision involves creating a structured and supportive environment where students can be efficient and thrive. I start by establishing clear communication protocols and facilitating a goal-oriented timeline, ensuring alignment between the students' aspirations and my expertise. I provide subject matter expertise and constructive feedback while fostering the students' intellectual independence. Additionally, I focus on their professional development, helping them prepare and publish their research, and offering career advice. Maintaining regular contact, being flexible, and providing encouragement are essential to creating a supportive environment. By adopting this holistic approach, I aim to empower HDR students to excel in their research and prepare them for successful future careers.
