Supervision approach: My approach to student supervision is centred around fostering a collaborative and supportive environment. I believe in co-supervision to enable a team approach, ensuring that students benefit from diverse perspectives and expertise. This method not only enhances the learning experience but also prepares students for collaborative work in their future careers.
I am committed to bringing early career researchers on the journey, providing them with the guidance and opportunities they need to develop their skills and confidence. By involving them in various aspects of research, from planning to execution, I help them build a strong foundation for their academic and professional growth.
Shared resources are a cornerstone of my supervision strategy. I ensure that students have access to the necessary tools, materials, and support to conduct their research effectively. This includes access to databases, software, and other essential resources.
I advocate for a research-by-publication approach, encouraging students to publish their findings in reputable journals. This not only helps them build their academic profiles but also contributes to the broader scientific community.
Finally, I am open to cross-discipline and inter-facility collaboration. I believe that interdisciplinary research can lead to innovative solutions and breakthroughs. By fostering collaborations across different fields and institutions, I aim to provide students with a rich and diverse research experience.
