The Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) awards scholarships annually for First Nations peoples to support them in their studies and career in paramedicine and other disciplines.
There are currently two scholarship opportunities available.
The Jamie Jackway Paramedic Scholarship aims to financially support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students to complete their Bachelor of Paramedic Science degree.
Upon completion of their degree, scholars are provided a direct opportunity to transition into QAS workforce through the QAS Graduate Paramedic Program (subject to successful completion of the QAS recruitment process).
Applications are currently open and will close on 1 August 2024.
What you’ll receive
QAS are offering ten (10) tertiary scholarships in 2024.
The Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) Tertiary Scholarship Program aims to financially support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students to complete their Bachelor studies at university. Students will also be supported to build their professional capabilities and experience to help with the transition to the workforce, through provision of a 12-week paid internship during the 2nd and 3rd years of university.
Upon completion of their degree, scholars are provided a direct opportunity to transition into QAS workforce (subject to successful completion of QAS recruitment selection process and position availability in their chosen field).
Applications are currently open and will close 1 August 2024.
