The Australasian College of Paramedicine (the College) is the peak professional body representing paramedics in Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand. The College seeks Expressions of Interest (EOIs) from suitably qualified individuals to join the Editorial Board in the role of Deputy Editor for Paramedicine, the international peer-reviewed journal.
Paramedicine is a leading international peer-reviewed journal in the field of paramedicine and prehospital care. Published in partnership with Sage International, the journal is well recognised for its commitment to quality in paramedicine research publication and evidence dissemination.
Paramedicine is the official journal of the Australasian College of Paramedicine and the Paramedic Chiefs of Canada. It has broad international support through its associate journal partners: Emergency Care Society of South Africa, Council of Ambulance Authorities, Australasian Council of Paramedicine Deans, Paramedics Association of Canada, McNalley Project for Paramedicine Research, and the Irish Paramedicine Education and Research Network.

The Deputy Editors work with the Editor in Chief (EIC) to deliver a high-quality, paramedic-led, international peer-reviewed journal. The Editorial Leadership Team consists of the EIC and four (4) Deputy Editors, who are in turn supported by an international community of associated editors.
Deputy editorial experience in medical or health journal publishing is desirable, but not essential.
An annual honorarium will be available to the successful applicant to support personal professional development that has alignment promotion and advocacy of the Journal.
The successful applicant(s) would be expected to assume their role in March 2026 and commit to an initial term of two (2) years. The Deputy Editors are subject to annual performance review against agreed performance indicators.
The Journal is a member of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), and the successful applicant(s) will be required to complete online training provided by COPE.
