Job opportunity: Ambulance Transport Attendants and Patient Transport Officers – NSW metropolitan and Hunter region - NPT


National Patient Transport (NPT) is seeking FT, PT and Casual Qualified Ambulance Transport Attendants and Patient Transport Officers for our operations in:

  • St Marys
  • Newcastle – Ambulance Transport Attendants only

Ahpra registration as a RN1 or Paramedic is required to be considered for an Ambulance Attendant position. A Certificate 3 or 4 in Non-Emergency Patient Transport is required for Patient Transport Officer roles. Please apply completing all aspects of the application documentation (successful completion of the documents forms part of the selection criteria).

If you are Ahpra registered or hold the Diploma of Paramedicine, please apply completing all aspects of the application paperwork (successful completion of the paperwork forms part of the selection criteria).

Responsibilities:

  • Primary care, monitoring and treatment of patients during transport;
  • Provision of clinical handovers for all inter-hospital and diagnostic related transfers;
  • Performing, as part of a team, to deliver high quality care and treatment in a timely, safe and efficient manner;
  • Complying with patient care related clinical and operational policies and procedures as specified in the patient transport regulations;
  • Safe driving of patient transport vehicles in accordance with respective road laws.
