Day Six: Paramedic Education Policy

Saturday 17th April BST & AEST

Day six of the International Education Conference focusses on the theme of Paramedic Education Policy. As paramedic education globally shifts its base from employer based training to tertiary education, we consider how policy issues affect the development of paramedics and their practice and what educators can do to influence and drive policy. CPD certificates provided.

Jamie Hunt

Education Manager, The Health and Care Professions Council - The future of Regulating Paramedics ~ Jamie is an Education manager at the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). He has worked in the role for around 10 years, regularly working with paramedic colleagues on matters of quality assurance and the development of the profession.

Jamie’s recent focus has been the delivery of a new education quality assurance model, which is currently being piloted for implementation from September 2021. He has worked with stakeholders across the education and health sectors to achieve this, including the College of Paramedics, Higher Education Institutions, and commissioning bodies.
