Winners announced for the 2025 St John NT Excellence Awards


The College proudly sponsors two St John NT Excellence Awards. The Paramedic of the Year Northern Region, and The Paramedic of the Year Southern Region.

Paramedic of the Year – Northern Region: David Beck

Dave consistently goes above and beyond as a paramedic, mentoring students and interns in a supportive, patient-focused environment.


He takes time to explain decisions, encourages questions, and allows learners to develop confidence and clinical judgement.


Patients respond to his compassion and professionalism, feeling safe, heard, and reassured under his care.


Through his empathy, integrity, and dedication, Dave sets a benchmark for what a great paramedic should be, making him a truly deserving recipient of the Paramedic of the Year Award – Northern Region.

Elyse Taylor-Jackson has been a driving force behind cultural change in Alice Springs, creating a supportive and inclusive environment that inspires colleagues and benefits patients.


As Duty Manager, she leads with calmness and clarity, guiding her team through high-pressure situations while keeping operations running smoothly.


Her leadership, compassion, and commitment to excellence make her a truly deserving recipient of this award. Congratulations, Elyse!
