Research Opportunity: Help us to better understand identity, help-seeking, and education/training experiences in Australian paramedics!

Who?

We’re hoping to hear from approximately 300 paramedics who have worked in Australia for at least some of their career. You don’t need to have had any specific experiences to take part, and it doesn’t matter whether you’re currently practicing, on leave, or a former paramedic – we’d just love to hear from you if you’ve worked as a paramedic at some point in the past 8 years!

What?

This is an online questionnaire-based anonymous study. We will ask you to answer a series of questions which will likely take around 25 - 35 minutes to complete. There are no right or wrong answers – every paramedic’s views and ideas are important to us and can help to make a difference. You will not be able to be personally identified in the research.

Why participate?

We hope that this research will contribute to improving the mental health and wellbeing of paramedics in future. As a small additional incentive, participants who choose to opt-in to a prize draw at the end of the study will also enter a prize draw for a chance to win one of three prizes – valued at $250 (1st prize), $100 (2nd prize) and $50 (3rd prize).

Where?

As this study is entirely completed online, via a digital questionnaire, you can complete this research from wherever you would like – all you’ll need is access to a laptop, smartphone, or other suitable digital device that can connect to the internet.

If you are interested, please CLICK HERE for extra information and to participate in this study should you wish to do so.

Alternatively, if you are interested in participating but do not have time right now and would like us to send you a reminder with a link to participate, please CLICK HERE to register your interest and we will email you within the next week.

Please note: All research opportunities promoted by the College are approved by our Research Committee. For any questions or comments relating to content, please contact the researchers directly. Support services are also available to paramedics who have participated in research opportunities. A list of these can be found on our website here.
