Research opportunity: Climate change is reshaping work – how prepared are paramedics working in occupational health?

Climate change has been cited as the greatest threat to human health in the 21st century. Extreme heat, bushfires, flooding, social disruption, and evolution of work toward ‘greener’ futures, have profound implications for occupational health – but are we prepared or sufficiently supported?

La Trobe University is now conducting the first nationwide survey of Occupational Health Practitioners (including paramedics working onsite in workplace settings), regarding climate change impacts at work. We seek to understand what you’re seeing, how your role may be evolving, and what support you need, to protect and promote the health of Australia’s workforce.

Scan the QR code or click here to begin – the survey takes just 10-15 minutes and is completely anonymous:

Your voice is vital. We need your input to help shape a safer, more sustainable future of work.

Please note: All research opportunities promoted by the College are approved by our Research Committee. For any questions or comments relating to content, please contact the researchers directly. Support services are also available to paramedics who have participated in research opportunities. A list of these can be found on our website here.
