Research Opportunity: The Moderating Influence of Personality on the Relationship Between Social and Professional Support, and Resilience and Wellbeing in Paramedics

Who Supports You? It's a personal thing...

Research has highlighted concerns about paramedics' wellbeing due to the effect of occupational stress on their mental health, comorbidity, and mortality. To counter this, paramedics are able to find support from social and professional networks, boosting their resilience and overall wellbeing. Further, personality appears to be associated with these relationships.

The proposed study explores how personality may moderate the relationship between social and professional support, resilience, and wellbeing in paramedics.
