Member Representative Appointments


In April, the College called for Expression of Interest (EOI) from members to hold a variety of representative roles for the College. The Board was incredibly pleased with the interest and engagement of members, with over 140 EOIs submitted.

The Board is pleased to announce the following member appointments for various external and College roles.

External Representation
The following members who have been appointed to represent the College in external committees / organisations:

  • Brad Mitchell – Ambulance Education Committee (CAA)
  • Adj. Associate Professor Alan Eade ASM – Professions Reference Group (Ahpra)
  • Dr Kathryn Eastwood ASM – Australian Resuscitation Council
  • Dr Peter O’Meara – National Rural Health Alliance

Advisory Committees
The following members have been selected to Chair the relevant committees. The selection process for committee members is still ongoing.

  • Dr Paul Simpson – Research Committee
  • Alisha McFarlane – Clinical Standards Committee
  • Dr Liz Thyer – Professional Standards Committee
  • Fabien Perez – Student Committee
  • Simone Haigh ASM – Awards and Recognition Committee

  • Elliott Bates – Paramedic Specialists and Practitioners
  • Wayne Loudon – Clinical Fellowship
  • Rural and Remote – not yet appointed
  • Private and Military – not yet appointed
  • Clinical Practice Guidelines – not yet appointed

Final appointments will be made in the coming weeks, and as committees and groups are finalised, full details will be made available on the College website.
