From 1 June to 31 August 2025, emergency services personnel across Australia are rolling up their sleeves for a cause that helps save lives - the Emergency Services Blood Drive.
This annual initiative unites emergency services personnel in a friendly but powerful show of solidarity.
This year the Australian Red Cross Lifeblood is aiming for 16,000 blood donations, which could help save up to 48,000 lives. Check out the list of all the participating teams at Emergency Services Blood Drive 2025.
Why it matters
As a paramedic, you know first-hand how critical donated blood can be in trauma situations. This blood drive is a great opportunity to make a direct contribution to those life-saving situations where donated blood is critical for the patient in need.
Winter is a tough time for blood supply, with many regular donors unable to give due to illness. Your donation could help fill that gap - whether you're a seasoned donor or considering it for the first time.
How you can get involved
If you are already an existing blood donor, just follow steps 2 and 3.
