Last year the College established relationships with St John Ambulance PNG and Samoa Fire and Emergency Services Authority to support the development of their paramedics and EMTs. The College also has a standing relationship with Sri Lanka, with teams having been sent in 2017 and 2019 to train EMTs.
The College is calling for paramedics and educators to support the development of pre-hospital providers, EMTs and paramedics in Sri Lanka, Samoa and PNG. This is a great opportunity to give back and make considerable impact to the development of pre-hospital care in these countries. Members who have attended previous international training activities have found it incredibly rewarding and a great learning opportunity for them.
Projects and training team requirements are still being finalised, so we are calling for Expressions of Interest (EOIs) to identify suitable College members to support the training activity, with the goal of establishing a pool of candidates who can support this year’s activities. There are limited spots available on each trip, so not all applicants will be selected.
