College Governance Training Program 2025


Governance Training Program

The College is calling for Expressions of Interest (EOIs) for the 2025 Governance Training Program. This initiative aims to assist members in bridging the gap to becoming directors and enhancing their governance and director skills.

The program will take a case based learning approach, through monthly online meetings, discussing key governance concepts of being a director, such as financial performance, risk, strategy and cyber security.

The Program timeline is as follows:

  • November / December 2024 – Nomination and selection process
  • February 3rd or 4th (afternoon) – Program Induction and Director Duties – 2 hours online
  • Thursday 13th February – In-person governance training and strategy workshop in Sydney
  • March 3rd or 4th (afternoon) – Online meeting – 2 hours
  • April 7th or 8th (afternoon) – Online meeting – 2 hours
  • May 5th or 6th (afternoon) – Online meeting – 2 hours
  • June – Program concludes with members having identified further development needs

The in-person meeting on Thursday 13th February (with travel costs supported) will coincide with a governance training day and include strategic discussions with the College Board. Anyone submitting an EOI must be available to attend this meeting. The other meetings will be online during work hours.

Please note that only College members are eligible to participate in the program. EOIs are open until COB, Wednesday 4th December 2024.
