Associate Professor Nigel Barr is the Discipline Lead for Paramedicine at UniSC and Chair of the College’s Research Advisory Committee.
With a PhD completed in 2018, his research spans scholarship, infection prevention and control (IPC), evidence-based guidelines, simulation, and interprofessional education. Holding critical care qualifications in both nursing and paramedicine, as well as expertise in teaching and applied statistics, Nigel is committed to advancing paramedicine research, education and practice. His work focuses on improving IPC, enhancing training through simulation, and strengthening interdisciplinary collaboration. Through his leadership and research, he aims to shape the future of paramedicine and healthcare education in Australia and beyond.
