International Paramedics Day returns on 8 July 2025, shining a spotlight on the power of teamwork and collaboration among paramedics and first responders across the globe.
Paramedicine is a dynamic and rapidly evolving profession, with paramedics working in diverse roles and settings. This year, we celebrate the incredible ways paramedics support one another and their communities, overcoming challenges together to deliver the highest standards of care.
Launched in 2022, International Paramedics Day is held annually on 8 July, marking the anniverary of the birth of Dominique-Jean Larrey, widely regarded as the father of modern ambulance services.
The 2025 theme, Unity & Community, reflects the fact that no paramedic works alone. We’ll be celebrating the many ways paramedics, their colleagues, and partners come together - demonstrating how collaboration strengthens care, builds resilience, and fosters a deep sense of purpose and belonging.
Unity & Community means:
We’d love to hear from you!
As part of our celebration, we’re inviting paramedics to share photos and videos that highlight teamwork, connection, and community in action. Whether it’s a moment with your crew, a training session, or a snapshot from the field - your stories help bring this day to life.
Please send your contributions to marketing@paramedics.org.
Get involved on social media! Whatever area of paramedicine you work in, join us in celebrating International Paramedics Day by sharing your stories of collaboration and camaraderie. Use the hashtags #UnityAndCommunity and #IPD2025 to be part of the global conversation.
What does Unity & Community mean to you?
Let’s come together to recognise and celebrate the incredible impact of paramedics - united in purpose, stronger as a community.
