As the peak representative body for paramedics in the region, the Australasian College of Paramedicine (the College) undertakes consultation on the future direction of the profession. To ensure our members are able to have their say, in the coming months we will release the remaining three consultation papers covering the clinical practice framework, professional practice programs, and the paramedic workforce.
The consultation papers are aimed at engaging with and soliciting input from College members, paramedics, paramedic students and stakeholders on these key issues via a corresponding online survey. Each paper will be released individually via electronic mail, social media and our website advocacy page.
The College is future-focused and committed to enhancing person-centred care through sustainable, evidence-based approaches and holistic, contemporary workforce initiatives that see paramedics and their unique capabilities recognised, valued, utilised, and appropriately funded across healthcare systems.
The second consultation paper “Paramedicine: Draft Clinical Practice Framework for Australasia” is now open.
The College welcomes your feedback and looks forward to collaboratively shaping the future of paramedicine in Australasia. If you have any questions or would like to contact the Advocacy Team about the consultation process or papers, contact policy@paramedics.org.
This consultation is now open, and will close at 5pm AEST, Sunday 9 April
We recommend reading the consultation paper before completing the survey.
