Support networks for First Nations Paramedics

As part of our ongoing advocacy and representation work, the College has engaged with Indigenous Allied Health Australia (IAHA), a member-based Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander allied health organisation. IAHA leads sector workforce development and support to improve the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

For Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander paramedics within the College, membership to IAHA is free and provides access to a range of support, including a mentoring program, scholarship and bursary opportunities, member CPD, and other events. Learn more about IAHA membership and join online at https://iaha.com.au/join-now/

IAHA has a partnership with Ngā Pou Mana in Aotearoa. Ngā Pou Mana is the only membership-based, national tangata whenua allied health workforce association in Aotearoa, and is focused on improving Māori health and wellbeing. There are a number of membership levels within Ngā Pou Mana. Learn more and join online at https://www.ngapoumana.org.nz/
