Have your say: Ahpra - Review of the National Prescribing Competencies Framework

The Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (Ahpra) has been contracted by the Australian Government Department of Health and Aged Care (the Department) to conduct a review of the National Prescribing Competencies Framework (the framework) and invites your feedback.

The framework describes the competencies for appropriate, safe and effective prescribing across relevant health professions. It aims to create a shared understanding of the person-centred prescribing process.

Read more information about the framework and its review here.

The College will prepare a submission and is calling on members to share their perspective via this short survey. Feedback captured in this survey may be used by the College anonymously.

The College will close its survey on 18 May 2025 in time to prepare our submission for the consultation deadline (30 May).
