Presentation Synopsis: Paul will share his experience of leadership and leadership styles. What is it that individuals and the profession needs to do to lead the development of the profession and play its part in co-leading shaping the future of health and social care
Bio: FCPara. MSc. AASI. PGCert. DipIMC,RCSEd. MCMI Paul is currently consultant paramedic at the Scottish Ambulance Service. A Fellow of the College of Paramedics and founder member of the Faculty of Pre-hospital Care at the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (RCSEd). He has undertaken both the Scottish Patient Safety Programme and the Health Foundation, Generation Q Fellowship, completing a MSc around his special interest in leadership and quality improvement of systems for pre-hospital care of the critically ill and deteriorating patient. As a National Clinical Advisor at the Scottish Government, Healthcare Quality and Strategy Directorate and a member of the Resuscitation Research Group, Edinburgh, he has worked extensively on Out of Hospital Cardiac Arrest, Major Trauma and Sepsis.
An associate senior lecturer at Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen, Paul has presented internationally and published in a number of peer-reviewed journals on various subjects.
