Introducing a virtual response to the COVID pandemic in rural and remote communities

About

Presented by Michelle Brittain (Project Manager at BC Emergency Health Services, British Columbia, Canada) and Chris Michel (Primary Care Paramedic and Community Paramedicine Mentor at BC Emergency Health Services, British Columbia, Canada.

Innovative approaches to patient care became a necessity with the COVID-19 pandemic in British Columbia, Canada. For community paramedics at BC Emergency Health Services, pandemic precautions required in-person community paramedicine home visits to be suspended forcing the introduction of alternative care delivery methods. This webinar will share how virtual care was rapidly implemented to ensure continued service to patients in rural and remote communities.

Michelle and Chris is joined by Leon Baranowski (Paramedic Practice Leader), Jennie Helmer (Paramedic Practice Leader) and Amy Poll (Interim Director, Strategic Program Development) for a Q&A session at the end of the webinar.
