Presented by Judy Bartholomew Educator and project officer with Alzheimer’s Australia NSW. Judy has worked with people living with dementia and their families for over 20 years and has a BA Social Welfare a Master of Public Health and adult education qualifications. She has a strong commitment to improving the lives of people living with dementia and educating health professionals about the condition and methods to improve interactions and outcomes.

Judy’s presentation will cover the following topics. • The different types of dementia and its impact on individuals • Signs to look out for when first meeting someone with possible dementia • Effective and positive communication • Understanding possible behavioural responses you might encounter in your work
