About

The STEMI Patient Journey will be presented by Mick McMullen, Paramedic Cardiovascular Advisor with NSWA Clinical Services. Mick McMullen has been a paramedic for 37 years with 28 years as an ICP. Mick was part of the education team for 11 years before accepting a permanent position with Cardiac Care as the Paramedic Cardiovascular Advisor. Mick played a pivotal role in the Pre-Hospital Thrombolysis Program rollout, educating paramedics across NSW and travelling more than 120,000 kms over 802,000 sq. kms in 4 years.

Mick will be speaking about the STEMI patient and their journey from onset of symptoms to delivery at a designated hospital facility. This journey includes what treatment is appropriate and how can paramedics best manage these conditions.
