NZ SPA chapters AUTSPA and SPA Whitireia with the support of Paramedics Australasia hosted the inaugural SPANZ 2016 conference in Wellington, New Zealand from the 20-22 April 2016.

It was based around the theme "The Challenge of Change Reshaping the Future of Paramedicine".
