Discussion of pre hospital trauma care in major trauma settings with focus upon HARU interventions and their place with in the treatment continuum. Also, a further discussion on current pre hospital studies that QAS undertake and possible future interventions.

Matthew Meister has been employed for 11 years with QAS and currently working as a Critical Care Paramedic with the High Acuity Response Unit (HARU) out of Kedron for the past 18 months. He has a special interest in road crash rescue, Urban Search and Rescue, and disaster planning.
