Biography: Andy Bell
Andy has an extensive career spanning both the education and health sectors. He has previously been a Paramedic with the Queensland Ambulance Service and was concurrently working as a University Lecturer and Senior Lecturer developing and delivering curriculum to The Australian Catholic University, University of Southern Queensland, Griffith University and is currently on the teaching faculty and holding an Adjunct Research Fellowship with Curtin University.
Andy has been made a fellow of the Australasian College of Paramedicine, sits on the editorial board of the Journal of High Threat and Austere Medicine, is a committee member of ACP for Western Australia and was previously Paramedic Team Lead for TacMed Australia and the Industrial Health Lead for the Royal Flying Doctors Service, Western Operations. He has a number of publications, particularly in the provision and development of Health Care education, is an international instructor for the Austere Emergency Care Course, and a consultant for Blacksmiths Medical Services. His current role is that of the Deputy Director of Paramedicine for St John Western Australia, where his particular focus is on optimisation of high-performance team culture.
