Presented by Toby St. Clair A review of the pathophysiology and anatomy involved in severe chest injuries with a focus on current modalities for assessment and interventions. We'll look at a range of case-based scenarios and hope to broaden understanding of the dynamic presentation of the traumatically injured chest.
Biography: Toby is an Intensive Care Flight Paramedics Educator working for Air Ambulance Victoria, a division of Ambulance Victoria. With 14 years experience as a paramedic Toby has been working for the past 4 years on both rotary wing and fixed wing aircraft providing high level clinical care in both a primary response capacity and inter-facility retrievals. Toby has a specific interest in trauma care, airway management and critical care paramedicine. He is a passionate educator and currently teaches into the Monash University Master of Specialist Paramedic Practice program as both the trauma unit coordinator and the aeromedical clinical unit coordinator.
