Derivation of zero-hour thresholds to stratify patients at low risk for acute myocardial infarction using a point-of-care high-sensitivity troponin assay

This presentation focuses on a point-of-care high-sensitivity troponin assay. Data are presented on the safety and accuracy of a single troponin test for ruling out acute myocardial infarction. Point-of-care troponin testing holds significant potential in prehospital or rural/remote settings, potentially enabling the rule out of acute myocardial infarction before hospital admission.

Biography: Dr Jaimi Greenslade

Jaimi Greenslade is an Advanced Care Paramedic with the Queensland Ambulance Service and a Principal Research Fellow at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital. Her research focuses on the acute assessment of chest pain and infection. Jaimi has attracted over 6 million in research funds and published over 200 papers during her career. Jaimi’s research has been widely translated into clinical practice and incorporated into international guidelines.
