Advancing paramedicine research in Aotearoa New Zealand: The Aotearoa New Zealand Paramedic Care Collection (ANZPaCC)

Traditionally, there's limited out-of-hospital data to inform evidence-based practices, often relying on expert opinions or hospital data. In Aotearoa New Zealand, Māori and Pacific peoples face poorer health outcomes. Research enabled by the Aotearoa New Zealand Paramedic Care Collection (ANZPaCC) aims to to ensure equitable, evidence-based prehospital care. ANZPaCC collects data from emergency services and links it with national health datasets. This facilitates research on the diverse range of conditions encountered by Paramedics to improve paramedic care quality, equity, and effectiveness.
