Unregulated Drug Poisoning Crisis in British Columbia

Paramedics are increasingly the sole point of contact with the healthcare system for people who use alcohol and other drugs, however, little has changed in the paramedic approach to caring for this patient group to reflect this. In this session, Richard will discuss the need for systems change to deal with the unregulated drug poisoning crisis and the importance of de-stigmatising care for this patient group.
