Biographies

Fenella Aldridge

Fenella trained as a Registered Nurse and Midwife in South Africa and emigrated to New Zealand in 1996. While living initially in rural South Canterbury she developed a passion for primary health care - gaining valuable insights into barriers to access for remotely located people through her roles as Practice Nurse, PRIME nurse, Community Mental Health Nurse and Plunket Nurse in this area. Fenella has since held clinical management roles in Plunket, PHOs, and in the private sector. Fenella joined the National Telehealth Service in 2018 as Development Manager. She is now responsible for Healthline, Out of Hours GP Services, the Complex Caller Team and sector partnerships.

Jo Wilson

Jo is an experienced paramedic working in the pre hospital field since 2004 – Working through the qualifications, from new recruit to intensive care paramedic in 2011. She has worked in various clinical, education, and leadership roles in paramedicine in New Zealand, and was the first paramedic to join Whakarongorau in the teletriage space in 2019. She is now a People Leader in Healthline managing a team of paramedics and nurses who provide teletriage support via the National Telehealth
