ACPIC 2021: Growing simulation in the future

The ACP International Conference provides an unmatched opportunity for our members to learn from experts and leaders in paramedicine. ACPIC 2021 was delivered as a hybrid conference (online and face to face in the Sunshine Coast, QLD and Hobart, TAS) in November 2021.

The application of simulation as well established in the development of Health Science graduates. The delivering of education under conditions brought on by the global situation of COVID-19 challenges our ability to practice as we have before. What innovations could support the use of simulation in paramedic education in the future?

Biography: Brendan Wood

Brendan Wood is a Registered Paramedic with Kaumihere Manapou (NZ Paramedic Council) and commenced his career in the ambulance service in the mid1980. He is a Fellow of the Australasian College of Paramedicine. His current role is a Senior Lecturer and Military Programme Leader at the Auckland University of Technology (AUT). Brendan has served with the New Zealand Defence Force for 40 years and hold the rank of Major in the NZ Army. He is also appointed as the Deputy Chancellor of St John New Zealand and Chairs the St John Clinical Governance Committee.
