This keynote presentation will explore some of the key concepts, philosophy and challenges relating to prehospital trauma management.

John is an emergency doctor with extensive experience in prehospital and retrieval medicine. He is currently part of the Queensland Ambulance Service High Acuity Response Unit based in Brisbane. Prior to studying medicine he was a paramedic in Ireland and has worked in aeromedical retrieval at Sydney HEMS and LifeFlight in Queensland. He has a research background in emergency airway management and is interested in clinical governance and critical care education.
