Paramedicine in Higher Education - Where can my degree take me?

Paramedic practice has developed rapidly in scope and complexity over the past two decades. This transition has been supported by education that has evolved from in-service training, to university-level qualifications that lead to registration. This session provides a brief history of this evolution, describes career opportunities that are enabled by education, and explores changes that are reshaping the role of paramedics in the delivery of community-based healthcare.
