STUCON 2021 is an in-depth student conference that focuses on clinical best practice, education and research.

Aimed at undergraduate paramedic students, the conference offered an insight into current and emerging knowledge from across the globe. Speakers included a mix of students, researchers, educators and industry practitioners for a truly enlightening experience. STUCON 2021 was an online conference, hosted in July 2021.

Biography: Sarah Sawyer

Sarah is a final year BParamedicine(Hons) student at Charles Sturt University. Sarah has a wide and varied background that has seen her travel the world, whilst gathering knowledge and skills along the way. She is an ex-neuroscientist/stem cell technician/midwife, and prides herself on her passion for people. Sarah is an avid advocate for research, which inspired her current Honours thesis into cardiogenic shock management. Sarah's goal is to make an impact on current understanding of cardiac presentations, which may improve protocols, treatment plans and patient outcomes overall.
