An exploration of decision making when accessing emergency healthcare in moderate to severe asthma patients from rural and remote Australia

This session will highlight the key differences in circumstances when accessing emergency healthcare due to a moderate to severe asthma exacerbation between rural or remote and metropolitan areas. It will explore how these differences in geographical location may impact both the paramedics management and patient decision making when accessing emergency healthcare for one of the largest contributors of respiratory illness throughout Australia.
