An introduction to human factors thinking

An introduction to human factors thinking

About

This course covers human factors in the setting of Paramedicine. Human factors studies the interaction between people and the systems in which they work.

How do human factors pertain to me in the field of paramedicine? We know we can be technically skilled at our jobs, but what does it take to make us better each and every day?

High performing teams the world over don’t just rest on passing the initial training and doing the 51% to get by. They invest in themselves and each other to get the most out of every patient interaction. Striving to be better than the day before - thriving, not just surviving.

Healthcare, like many other safety critical industries, are now investing considerably in human factors training not only to improve safety and minimise errors but to advance worker resilience, individual leadership, and workplace satisfaction. Can you park your ego when needed and form a growth mindset? Let's find out.
