About

Do I need insurance? – Paramedics and their risks - Presented by Guild Insurance

Knowing what can go wrong before it does is the first step to managing risks for any professional. This knowledge allows you to practice in a way which is safer for you and your patients.

This session will draw on examples of complaints and Ahpra notifications to highlight the most common areas of risk which lead to insurance claims. We’ll delve into these cases to understand what contributes to them occurring (it isn’t always as obvious as you might think) and what insurance you need to protect you and your livelihood should they occur.

The session will end with a focus on the positive – practical risk mitigation tips, to reduce the likelihood of facing these claims, will be shared and discussed.

Presented by:

  • Christie Boucher, Risk Services Manager, Guild Insurance
  • Lauren Greenall, Client Partnership Executive, Guild Insurance
