Preceptorship in Paramedicine Program

The Australasian College of Paramedicine (the College) recently launched its Professional Practice Programs, a suite of courses designed to provide paramedics with ongoing training, qualifications and continuing professional development throughout their careers.

One of the key components of this Program, Preceptorship in Paramedicine, is tailored for experienced paramedics whose role includes training others.

Often paramedics find themselves in preceptor roles without any formal training. Preceptorship in Paramedicine aims to bridge that gap, equipping paramedics with the knowledge and confidence to become great educators and mentors for their preceptees.

The dynamic Preceptor in Paramedicine Program is divided into four engaging components, which can be completed in any order over a year:

  • Communicator/Socialiser
  • Mentor/role model
  • Leader/influencer
  • Teacher/educator/coach

Commencing in 2025, this program offers a fantastic opportunity to enhance your skills and make a significant impact in the field of paramedicine.
