ACPIC20 abstracts submission deadline extended

The deadline for scientific abstracts and case study presentation submissions for this year’s ACP International Conference has been extended until next Friday 7th August.

ACPIC20 will be held as an online event from Wednesday 21st to Friday 23rd October 2020, allowing attendees from Australia, New Zealand and other parts of the world to participate. The selected abstracts will have the opportunity to present their research or case study in front of a live (online) audience.

Scientific abstracts

Accepted abstracts will be presented as posters or as 15-minute oral presentations and, if the author agrees, will also be published in the Australasian Journal of Paramedicine.

The three best oral presentation abstracts will be selected to present in the ‘Best of the Best’ session. The winner will receive funding to present at an international conference.

The Australasian College of Paramedicine wishes to support junior researchers, therefore there is a special stream for undergraduate and honour students to submit their work. Literature reviews will be accepted as abstracts for this stream.

Clinical case presentations

Case study presentations allow you, as a clinician, to share interesting and unique patient care experiences for the purpose of education and development of the paramedicine profession. In particular, they provide insight into the patient and communities’ experience with paramedicine, applied care principles and lessons learnt by you. Your case study presentations can highlight practitioner curiosity, dispel assumptions of routine practice and/or present unconventional clinical presentation/settings.

Accepted case studies will be presented as a 15-minute oral presentation as well as 3-5 minutes question time.
