Lee Waller and Deon Swardt - both Paramedics with St John Ambulance WA, presenting a Case Presentation - “When the Hospital Trauma Team comes to Scene". Both Lee and Deon will be presenting a case they attended recently that involved a single patient prolonged and difficult extraction. The presentation is aimed at providing an insight to current and future paramedics on multi-agency approaches to patient care.

This event will stream at 7pm AEST (Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane).
The College uses Zoom as our live stream client. Members accessing the live stream will need to download Zoom to their computer or device in advance of the event to have access to the live stream.
One the day of the event, we email out a link to register on Zoom for the live stream for everyone who has registered on our website for the live stream. Zoom will then automatically send a link to access the live stream.
Lee Waller has been with St John Ambulance for 23 years and is a Station Manager at Joondalup Station. Lee has taught Paramedical Science units at both Edith Cowan and Curtin Universities and is currently performing research on Ambulance Stresses within Australasia for his PhD. Lee has obtained an Undergraduate Paramedical Sciences Degree and a Master in Critical Care Paramedicine from ECU and a Masters of Emergency Management from Charles Sturt University. Lee was also the Emergency Management Development Officer for St John Ambulance and was a Clinical Support Paramedic for 4 years.
Deon Swardt started his EMS career in South Africa in 2005 before coming to St John Ambulance Western Australia in 2009. Deon was a Station Manager at Osbourne Park Station and has been a Clinical Support Paramedic since 2013. In that time Deon has been influential in progressing the ambulance services clinical practice guidelines. Deon has just completed his Undergraduate Paramedical Science Degree conversion from the University of Tasmania.
