Anja is a Staff Specialist in Emergency Medicine at Princess Alexandra Hospital and Pre hospital & Retrieval Specialist with Lifeflight. She was previously a medical doctor with QAS HARU unit.
Rory Jackson is a Critical Care Paramedic with the Queensland Ambulance Service where he has worked since 2007. He currently works as a Clinical Support Officer for the Metro North Brisbane region and as an educator at QUT and ACU for the Bachelor of Paramedicine programs. Rory has also worked as a Flight Paramedic in Toowoomba and Brisbane and has worked with the London Ambulance Service as a Registered Paramedic gaining valuable experience from other services. Rory is also a Registered Midwife, recently finishing his studies through ACU and works in the maternity department at the Logan Hospital. He is passionate about pre-hospital medicine and during his career has developed a strong interest in providing quality care during pregnancy, labour and birth sparking his choice to embark on a new career as a Midwife. Rory believes in providing person-centered care for all patients and is dedicated to supporting and empowering paramedics with the knowledge, skills and guidance required to provide quality care to all patients, particularly women and families during their pregnancy, labour and birth.
Todd is the Director of the Queensland Ambulance Staff Support Services, known as “Priority One”. He has spent 25 years working within first responder agencies, with the last 20 years as a Paramedic. His lived experience as a Paramedic combined with an undergraduate degree in psychology and a Master’s Degree in counselling has culminated in a passion for staff support within first responder organisations. Todd is also a sessional lecturer at the Queensland University of Technology where he has presented on a range of topics including trauma and resilience, stress, suicide, and disaster management. He is also a regular speaker at conferences and has spoken nationally and internationally. In 2016 he received the National Ambulance Service Medal (ASM) for his work in supporting ambulance personnel and their families.
Christian Harch is a Critical Care Paramedic with around 15 years pre-hospital experience. He is passionate about Paramedic education, health and communication. His online educational resource Paramedic Project focuses on the specific requirements of paramedics as students and health professionals. He is currently employed by the Queensland Ambulance Service in metropolitan Brisbane.
