Engaging with people from CALD backgrounds – cultural inclusivity and interpreting services

About The Event

The Tasmanian College member committee is pleased to deliver this session, which will be presented by three presenters from the Migrant Resource Centre Tasmania.

The presentation will cover:

  • What is cultural sensitivity and how this can be implemented in health care
  • The local migrant groups in Tassie and their specific cultural needs
  • Migrant community experience with health care
  • How we can improve/support their access
  • How to use interpreting services

The presentation aims to improve ambulance knowledge and engagement with patients from CALD backgrounds both through responding to cultural needs and using interpreting services effectively.

This non-clinical presentation is focused primarily on Tasmanian demographics.

Please note that this webinar will not be recorded for later viewing. Webinar starts at 15:00 AEDT
