Sssnakey Wakey! Snake awareness and envenomation.

About The Event

Join us for an informative evening on Australian venomous snakes, their behaviour, snakebite, envenomation and the latest approaches to snakebite first aid. It will also cover how to make your yard and house "snake unfriendly".

Finger Food will be provided.

Live Snakes will be utilised to show snake behaviour and to demonstrate de-escalation techniques

Presented by one of Australia’s most experienced Herpetologists, Geoff Coombe along with Adelaide Snake Catchers and Chris Cotton, Fellow, ACP and Intensive Care Paramedic with SAAS.

This event is hosted by ACP and proudly supported by SA Ambulance Service’s Volunteer Support Unit (VSU).

The snakebite and envenomation component will be relevant to all clinical levels. Volunteer SAAS Ambulance Officers are encouraged to attend, and will be sponsored by SAAS’ VSU
