Pizza and drinks from 6:30pm

Presentations from 7pm

Dr Ruth Townsend ‘Competence, capacity, consent…confusion? A clarification of the law and ethics of consent.’

Synopsis: This CPD session will seek to provide clarification of the law and ethics of consent in pre-hospital care. It will allow attendees to ask a range of questions of an expert in the area in order to improve their understanding of the core concepts that apply in this area of paramedic practice.

Michelle Price ‘How competency, capacity and consent fits into Paramedic practice. Case presentations and scenarios’

Synopsis: The session will explore how competency, capacity and consent fits into Paramedic daily practice. Case presentations will be discussed so that the attendees can think about and explore how they would have applied the law if faced with a similar scenario.
