Cornell currently works as a Clinical Support Paramedic at St John Ambulance. Prior to joining SJAWA, Cornell worked as a Critical Care Operational and Flight Paramedic in South Africa. His background includes operating within a Prehospital Critical Care as well as rotor and fixed wing aeromedical environment. Cornell taught American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life support and Paediatric Advanced Life Support at the Resus Council South Africa as well as WITS Medical school and Pretoria Science LAB. Cornell has a particular interest in 12 Leads ECG’s and shares his passion throughout his career teaching Intermediate and Critical Care Paramedics in the fundamentals of interpretation of a standard 12 LEAD ECG
Susan is currently working as a Clinical Coordinator for Emergency Telehealth Service. Prior to joining E.T.S, Susan was employed at the Department of Health as the Post Graduate Course Coordinator for the Leading Great Care program focussing on the Leadership and Management development for Senior Registered Nurses, through the University of Notre Dame. Susan qualified as a Trauma flight Nurse in South Africa, working in a pre-hospital, I.C.U, rotor and fixed wing aeromedical environment. Susan has a keen interest in people management and became the A & E unit Manager for an International Accredited Level 1 Trauma Unit (The Milpark Hospital in Johannesburg South Africa). Susan taught American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life support and Paediatric Advanced Life Support at the Resus Council South Africa as well as WITS Medical school and Pretoria Science LAB. Susan continued her passion for people management combined with Aeromedicine becoming the first Clinical Nurse Manager at the Royal Flying Doctor Service WA.
Dan currently works in Clinical Services for St John. He oversees strategic cardiac arrest management planning and cardiovascular care. Prior to joining SJWA, Dan worked in Zimbabwe and the UK. His background includes operating within a Prehospital Critical Care/HEMS environment, international aeromedical care as well as an Advanced Specialist Critical Care Practitioner in Emergency and Urgent Care. He has also previously held an Associate Lecturer position at Oxford Brookes University. Dan completed his undergraduate degree at Oxford Brookes and postgraduate studies in Advanced Critical Care Practice at Warwick Medical School in UK. He has a particular interest in Clinical Patient Safety, Human Factors, Team Behaviours and Non-Technical skills.
