10th Rural & Remote Health Scientific Symposium

The National Rural Health Alliance (NRHA), in partnership with the Australian Rural Health Education Network (ARHEN) and the Federation of Rural Australian Medical Educators (FRAME), is hosting the 10th Rural & Remote Health Scientific Symposium on 8–9 October 2025 at the Alice Springs Convention Centre.

With the theme “Research from the heart – shaping rural & remote health futures,” the Symposium brings together researchers, policymakers, practitioners, and community leaders to explore the latest evidence, innovations, and strategies shaping health outcomes in rural and remote Australia.

Program highlights include:

-Keynote addresses from national leaders, including the Hon Emma McBride MP, Dr Donna Ah Chee, Prof Jenny May, and Fiona Cornforth

-Concurrent sessions on workforce, mental health, Indigenous health, aged care, oral health, digital innovation, climate impacts, disability, and more

-Poster presentations showcasing emerging research and practice insights

-Networking opportunities, including the Welcome Reception

This event is a landmark gathering for anyone passionate about advancing rural and remote health research, policy, and practice.
