About

Motor neurone disease (MND) is a progressive, degenerative, and ultimately fatal neurological condition. Attending a patient with MND can present challenges in management and understanding. This course will help you navigate the complex care needs of these patients.

By the end of this course, you should be able to:

  • define and assess the care needs for people at various stages of MND.
  • recall and describe the pathophysiology of MND.
  • operate and provide a coordinated, multidisciplinary team approach to MND care.
  • plan and manage the care needs of MND patients throughout the pattern and progression of the illness.
  • apply and evaluate interventions and treatments for patients with MND during late stage of disease.
