This is the first module in an upcoming series focused on cardiology. This module looks to revise the cardiac anatomy, physiology and basic electrophysiology that will underpin the series.

By the end of this module, you should be able to:

  • Identify the anatomical location of the heart and surrounding organs
  • Describe the innervation of the heart
  • Describe the structure/anatomy of the heart
  • Describe the electrical properties of the cardiac cycle
  • Describe the function of the cardiovascular system.
